Daris Freeman has spent more than 20 years at Unum focused on all things absence management. As Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel, Daris’ primary responsibility is to support Unum’s Absence Management operation, which administers FMLA, paid leave, ADA and over 200 complementary state laws. Daris also partners with state agencies through rulemaking and operational, workgroups to apply her expertise and experience to the development of their programs. In addition, she assists in the development of Unum’s products and services to help clients comply with paid leave requirements while integrating existing leave and pay programs. Daris is a certified trainer for SHRM and CE credit and is a frequent speaker on FMLA, ADA and paid leave.
Director, Product and Market Development, Unum
George Oleksik has been with Unum for almost 10 years and in the insurance industry for 25 years. He brings a background in pricing and product development to his current role, which encompasses the evaluation, development and implementation of equivalent statutory plans in collaboration with key resources, including legal and benefit partners. He also supports supplemental health (VB) products.
Director, Expanded Solutions, Unum
Kelsy Holliday-Schiavon is a Director in the Expanded Services department at Unum. She has 13 years of experience in disability management and leave of absence with a particular focus on corporate and statutory paid leave. She has worked with many Unum integrated products, including LTD, STD, Leave, ADA and Paid Leave programs. One of the responsibilities of her current role includes leading a team to plan for and implement Unum statutory paid leave offerings.
