Tampa Family Health Centers success story:
With Unum HR Connect for ADP Workforce Now®, Tampa Family Health Centers successfully streamlined their billing and overall benefits experience, improving efficiency and allowing HR to focus on more strategic initiatives.
Ashaki Williams-Burgess serves as Chief of Staff and Chief Human Resources Officer for Tampa Family Health Centers in Tampa, Florida. Prior to implementing Unum HR Connect for ADP Workforce Now, the organization frequently found benefits administration to be tedious, from navigating an overwhelming enrollment season to making constant edits and additions to employee benefits throughout the year. Faced with resolving these issues for a busy and growing organization, Williams-Burgess knew there had to be a better way.
“Most importantly,” says Williams-Burgess, “I was just trying to reduce the amount of manual effort and administration that went into managing benefits, especially at open enrollment time.”
Enter Unum HR Connect. Its API-enabled integration with ADP Workforce Now quickly eliminated the need for manual data entry and other time-consuming and tedious tasks. “It really has streamlined our ability to have our employees enroll in benefits,” says Williams-Burgess. “My team no longer needs to go in and do a lot of manual setup.”
Additionally, due to the real-time nature of the integration, reporting is easier and accuracy is improved. “We’re able to see things and catch mistakes,” Williams-Burgess continues, “and, more importantly, eliminate a lot of the mistakes that we had prior to going to HR Connect.”
For both HR and employees, HR Connect made a difference all year round, improving efficiency and productivity. “HR Connect makes certain that everything is set up properly,” reports Williams-Burgess. “There were no issues during our open enrollment, from collecting the data to verifying information. It was just a seamless process that really did add the ability for my HR team to be more efficient. That definitely was a pleasant surprise: to have happy employees because of this improved technology.”
“We are always in staffing mode, so we always have new hires being onboarded,” says Williams-Burgess. “With nearly 700 employees, there’s almost always a need to add or change a benefit due to a life change. So having HR Connect in place does help us remain efficient throughout the year. There’s always the need to make changes, and HR Connect just makes it easy.”
